On February 8, 2023, a solemn meeting of the Kursk Regional Council of University Rectors and the Indian Delegation headed by the founding Chancellor of Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Armani Chokkalingam Shanmugam, was held in KSMU.
The Rectors, who participated in the meeting, were: the Rector of KSMU, Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko; the Rector of Kursk State University, the head of the Council of University Rectors, Aleksandr Nikolayevich Hudin; the Rector of Kursk State Agricultural Academy named after I.I. Ivanov, Alexander Vyacheslavovich Musyal and the Rectors of another universities.
During the meeting the participants were discussing the opportunities of academic exchange for students and the economic situations in Russia and India. During the meeting the participants have agreed on the further cooperation. The Memorandum on the establishment of friendly ties between Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute and Kursk State Medical University will be signed on February 9, 2023.
During the meeting the participants were also discussing the opportunity of opening of KSMU’s representative office in Chennai, India.
Mr. A.C. Shanmugam noted the high quality of the education in KSMU, friendly attitude to foreign students and the high level of security measures.
