The Rector of KSMU and the Governor of the Kursk region met with the Plenipotentiary Minister of the Republic of India

On May 20, 2022, a working meeting was held in the administration of the Kursk region with the Minister Plenipotentiary, Adviser to the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Russian Federation, Subratia DAS. The meeting was attended by: Governor of the Kursk region Roman Vladimirovich Starovoit, Deputy Governor of the Kursk region Oksana Anatolyevna Krutko, Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Development of the Kursk Region Levon Grigorievich Osipov, Rector of KSMU Professor Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the educational and economic spheres, as well as the situation in the region related to the special operation in Ukraine.
The Plenipotentiary Minister personally made sure that the situation in the city is calm and nothing threatens the safety of students.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on the development of trade and economic cooperation, as well as the business community and representatives of the Indian Embassy were invited to the Kursk Korenskaya Fair.
Kursk State Medical University has a long history of successful cooperation with the Republic of India. At present 638 students from this country study at the university. The management of the university intends to strengthen the existing ties in future.
