THE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL WAS HELD AT KURSK STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

The event summed up the results of the work over the past month and outlined the prospects of the university. The meeting began with congratulations for achievements: one of the most significant was the awarding of the honorary title “Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation” to the Rector of KSMU V.A. Lazarenko.
KSMU traditionally remains in the top positions of prestigious world and domestic ratings: THE IMPACT RANKING 2022. Kursk Medical University took: 1st place in the region, 2nd place among Russian medical universities in the overall standings, 20th place among all Russian universities in the overall standings.
According to the results of the national aggregated rating (NAR) of Russian universities, Kursk State Medical University became the only university in Kursk included in the 2nd League of NAR-2022, representing universities with high and stable indicators in the ratings.
The Kursk Region Youth Policy Committee expressed gratitude to the Rector of KSMU V.A. Lazarenko for the implementation of the state youth policy, the development of student creativity and support for talented youth, as well as for his contribution to the development of the volunteer movement in the Kursk region.
Kursk State Medical University became the winner in the VIII All-Russian competition “Press service of the university”, conducted by the journal “Accreditation in Education”.
Excellent results were achieved by our athletes in the framework of the Spartakiad of universities of the Kursk region (CRO RSSS) in 2022. The women’s and men’s volleyball teams took 1st place. Also, our students became winners in chess and weightlifting.
The creative sphere traditionally brings high awards to our university. Thus, in the regional festival “Student Spring of the Nightingale Region-2022” 25 of our students became laureates of 1-3 degrees and 20 – diploma holders.
The report on the work of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy named after Albert Dmitrievich Myasnikov for the past 5 years was made by the head – Professor A.I. Bezhin. Achievements and problems in educational and research activities were discussed and plans were outlined.
The members of the Academic Council also discussed the work of the Department of Physics, Computer Science and Mathematics for the last 5 years. The corresponding report was presented by the head of the department L. V. Snegireva.
The head of the Graduate Employment Center O.S. Kolchina presented the report “KSMU in the system “career service of the university – successful employment of graduates””. Olesya Sergeevna reported on the results of the work of the structural unit for the 2021-2022 academic year, and also told about the victory of the KSMU Graduate Employment Center in the nomination “Best Practice of managing the portfolio of University graduates” in the All-Russian Review Competition of the best practices of Career Centers, organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. In view of the expansion of the functionality and transformation of the work of the structural unit for the formation of career trajectories of students, starting from the first years of study at KSMU, the members of the Academic Council adopted a proposal to rename the “Graduate Employment Center” into the “Career Center”. The plans of the department include the continuation of the development of the digital career environment of KSMU on the Federal platform “Faculty”, to which KSMU joined the first among medical universities in the country, as well as the upgrade of the voluntary association “KSMU Alumni Association”.

The head of the Center for the Quality of Education and Training of Scientific Personnel, Associate Professor Victoria Aleksandrovna Solyanina informed the members of the Academic Council about the current state of the regulatory environment of the scientific and pedagogical staff training in postgraduate studies.
The Academic Council approved: “Regulations on the official website of KSMU”; “The concept of KSMU student sports development until 2025”, amendments to the Regulations on remuneration, additional professional training programs for 2022.
