Rector and law enforcement officers at the meeting with first-year IMI students of KSMU

On 23 April 2024 at Kursk State Medical University an educational meeting of foreign students with representatives of law enforcement agencies of Kursk region was held. The meeting was attended by the rector of KSMU professor V.A. Lazarenko, senior operative of the Centre for Counteraction to Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region Matyukhina N.N., senior operative of the Department for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region Nadeina A.V., Head of the department of organisation of migration registration and visa and invitation registration of the Department of Permit and Visa Work of the Department of Permit and Visa Work of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region Martyanova M.A., Senior Inspector of the Department of Traffic Police in Kursk region Nabiev T.I., Director of IMI KSMU Shekhine M.T., Deputy Director for General Affairs Dremina T.F., Head of Visa and Registration Department of IMI KSMU Dyabina N.N., staff and students of IMI KSMU.
The event was attended by 198 foreign students of the 1st year of IMI KSMU from different countries of the world: India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Thailand and African countries.

Victor Anatolievich highlighted to the foreign students the situation in Kursk and Kursk region, explained that students can live and study in peace without worrying about their safety and reassure their parents. He also wished the students, who are just about to take their first exams at the university, “break a leg” and, of course, good health. The guests of the meeting informed the first-year students about the main offences of the Russian legislation in the sphere of illegal drug trafficking, violations of the migration legislation of the Russian Federation, responsibility for breaking the law on the territory of Russia. Foreign citizens were reminded about the rules of registration, the possibility and advantages of obtaining an RVPO. The employees of the Department of Internal Affairs explained to the students what constitutes extremist activity and what is the responsibility for spreading extremism in Russia.

All specialists of the Kursk Region Department of Internal Affairs recommended foreigners to comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation and to be disciplined on the territory of our state.
