KSMU News

Dear International Students and Parents!
23rd October 2020

This year, the world faced a novel threat that has affected almost the entire globe – with the spread of a new coronavirus infection. At the start of the first wave of the disease, the healthcare system coped with the increased burden. Students, residents and employees of our Kursk state medical university fought with dignity at the forefront of the combat against COVID-19, providing medical care to patients, participating in volunteer activities.

The current global measures taken to combat SARS-CoV-2 help to control the epidemic, but the number of cases is nevertheless growing throughout the country and in the Kursk region. It is especially hard for those who are on the front line, in the “red zone”. The situation in Kursk is under control, and patients with coronavirus disease are provided with the necessary treatment. We, the leading medical university of the Black Earth region, are faced with the task of doing everything possible to help our healthcare system in this or that sphere. Students of KSMU have always actively responded to all the society needs of their native land. Now you have a great opportunity to contribute to the fight against coronavirus infection.

I have no doubt that today, in this difficult situation, you will support practical healthcare. I hope that the obtained experience and knowledge will help you in this difficult struggle! Together we will win this fight!
