On April 3, 2024 within the framework of XX International Scientific and Educational Znamenskiye Readings “Orthodox-Christian bases of strategy of development of Russian civilization”, the Round table “Healing, mercy, faith” was held. The organizer of this meeting was the Department of Philosophy of KSMU, headed by Prof. E.S. Kravtsova. These annual March meetings have become traditional for the staff and students of our university.
In her welcoming speech the Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor Alesya Anatolievna Kuznetsova noted that “in Kursk State Medical University the traditions of patriotic education of young people are strong, and the topic of the round table is directly related to the professional activity of our students. KSMU graduates should have high culture, rich spiritual and moral potential, know and love the history of their country, love people and love their specialty. In our history, philosophy, medicine there are many heroes who were faithful to their duty, their vocation to the end and it is necessary to know about them too”.
On behalf of Metropolitan Herman of Kursk and Rylsk, Father Tigriy presented certificates to the Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations, Associate Professor Alesa Anatolievna Kuznetsova and Head of the Department of Philosophy, Associate Professor Elena Sergeevna Kravtsova, – for their work in organizing and conducting the XX International Znamenskiy Scientific and Educational Readings and contribution to the spiritual and moral education of younger generation.
The listeners noted the depth of the problems posed by the researchers and the breadth of the range of discussed areas.
