Lazarenko Victor Anatolievich

Rector

Honored Physician of the RF, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences

Lazarenko Victor Anatolievich was born on 26 April 1956 in the city of Sumy in a family of employees. In 1979 he graduated from the Kursk State Medical Institute, then completed clinical residency and post-graduate course.

In 1988 V.A. Lazarenko defended thesis for the PhD degree, in 1995 –thesis for the DSc degree.  Since 1997 he has been a professor.

In 2001 V.A. Lazarenko became the head of the newly organized department of Surgical Diseases at the faculty of post-diploma education of the Kursk State Medical University.

In 2001 V.A. Lazarenko was elected a dean of the faculty of post-diploma education, from 2003 to 2009 he was a vice-rector for research work of KSMU, Victor Anatolievich has been working as a rector since August 2009. He is a deputy of the Kursk regional Duma.

Lazarenko Victor Anatolievich is the author of three scientific discoveries, more than 700 publications (20 monographs), 60 inventions, under his leadership 20 theses were defended for the PhD degree and 5 theses – for the DSc degree.

More than once the rector was awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the RF, Kursk regional Duma, Administration of the Kursk region, Committee for Education and Science of the Kursk region, Administration of the Migration Service, Administration for Civil Defense and Emergencies. “Award for excellence in health protection”, awarded by the Ministry of Health, “Honored physician of the RF” (2003), chairman of the Academic Council, Thesis Defense Committee on Surgery and Cardiology of KSMU. Editor-in-chief of the Kursk medical herald “A Human and his Health”, an editorial board member of the journal “Clinical and experimental surgery”

Victor Anatolievich is an operating surgeon, he was qualified top category in surgery and cardiovascular surgery. An academician of the International Academy of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. A corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

Lazarenko V.A. is a member of the Russian Rectors Union, a member of the Council of rectors of medical and pharmaceutical universities in Russia, a member of the Coordinating Council for post-diploma and additional professional education of healthcare specialists of the Central federal district, a member of the Council of rectors of the universities in the Kursk region, Rector of the year 2013.

In 2012 Victor Anatolievich was conferred the title of Honorary Doctor of the International University College Malaysia, in 2015 – the title of Honorary Doctor of MATN University Lebanon.

On 7 February 2013 Victor Anatolievich was awarded the Certificate of Merit from the State Duma of the Federal Meeting of the Russian Federation for a significant contribution to the legislation development of the Russian Federation.

Gavrilyuk Vasily Petrovich

After winning the International Biology Olympiad for schoolchildren in 2000, Gavrilyuk Vasily Petrovich was admitted without entrance exams to the medical faculty of Kursk State Medical University, which he graduated with honors in 2006. From 2004 to 2006 was the Chairman of Student Scientific Society Council of the University.

In 2008 he defended his thesis paper for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences “Structural and Functional Properties of Erythrocytes in Acute Pancreatitis”, and in 2013 the thesis paper for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences “Immunometabolic Disorders in Appendicular Peritonitis in Children and Development of Methods for Their Correction”.

After completing his clinical residency in the specialty of surgery (2006-2008) and clinical internship in the specialty of pediatric surgery (2008-2009), he worked as an assistant at the Department of Surgical Diseases No. 2 of Kursk State Medical University, from 2014 to 2016 – as an associate professor, from 2016 to 2017 – as a professor, and since 2017 – as the head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatrics at FPE.

Laureate of Kursk Region Governor Prize in the field of science and innovation for young scientists and specialists in 2011, winner of the competition for young teachers of Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation in 2012, laureate of the II All-Russian Competition of Young University Teachers in 2018.

From 2019 till 2021, the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovative Development of Kursk State Medical University.

V.P. Gavrilyuk – a pediatric surgeon of the highest qualification category, pediatric urologist-andrologist. Author and co-author of over 370 scientific publications in the central and local press, 10 monographs, 4 patents for inventions, 9 guidelines for doctors. 1 Ph.D. thesis was defended and 2 Ph.D. theses are being prepared for the defense under his supervision.

Lipatov Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich

In 1995 he entered the medical faculty of Kursk State Medical University, which he successfully graduated in 2001. From 2001 to 2004 he studied in full-time postgraduate study in the specialty “Surgery”. Completed and defended a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic “Justification of the Use of Methylcellulose Gel for the Prevention of Postoperative Adhesions of the Abdominal Cavity” (supervisors: Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor A.D. Myasnikov, Doctor of Pharmacy, Professor T.A. Pankrusheva). In the period from 2004 to 2008, he was trained in doctoral studies in the same specialty at the same department.

Since 2001, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy of KSMU, since 2009 – an assistant professor, and since 2014 – a professor of the department. In 2009 he received the academic status of Associate Professor at the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, and in 2019 – the academic status of Professor in the “Surgery” specialty. In 2011 he completed additional training and received the “Higher School Teacher” qualification.

In 2013 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “The Concept of Prevention of Postoperative Adhesions of the Abdominal Cavity with the Use of Barrier Agents (experimental clinical study)” (scientific consultant – Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.A. Lazarenko).

In 2016 he successfully graduated from the Institute of Education of the National Research University Higher School of Economics in the Master’s degree program “Management in Higher Education”.

In 2017 he became the head of the Laboratory of Experimental Surgery and Oncology of the Research Institute of Experimental Medicine of KSMU.

He is the author of more than 500 publications, more than 200 articles of which are in the central and local press, more than 400 abstracts of conferences of various levels, as well as 22 inventions.

More than five Candidate’s dissertations were defended under the supervision of V.A. Lipatov, (Gomon M.S., Efremenkov A.M., Vorona Yu.S., Lazarenko S.V., Inarkhov M.A.), currently seven Candidate’s and one doctoral dissertations are being carried out.

Since 2001 V.A. Lipatov is a member of the Russian National Scientific and Practical Society of Emergency Medical Aid, the Community of Young Doctors and Healthcare Organizers, the Russian coordinator of the International Adhesive Society (IAS, Dallas, USA). From 2004 to 2010 he headed the Council of Young Scientists and was the head of the Scientific and Innovation Center at Kursk State Medical University, was a member of the presidium of the Kursk Regional Council of Young Scientists and Specialists. Since 2012 he has been a member of the expert commission in the “Surgery” specialty (now – the Expert Council for Surgical Specialties), since 2016 he has been a member of the Central Scientific Council of KSMU, as well as the commission for awarding the Kursk Region Governor’s Prize for young scientists, the commission for innovative development of Kursk region at the Kursk Commercial and Industrial Chamber. He was a member of the Public Council under the Education and Science Committee of the Kursk Region from 2015 to 2018. In 2013 he was included in the top echelon executive candidate pool to fill the vacant position of Deputy Chairman of the Kursk Region Healthcare Committee. He has been a member of the Public Council of Kursk, the Public Chamber of the Kursk Region since 2018.

Meshcherina Natalia Sergeevna

Meshcherina Natalya Sergeevna was born in 1979. After graduating from high school in 1996, she entered the medical faculty of Kursk State Medical University. After graduating from the university, in the period from 2002 to 2003, she passed a clinical internship in the specialty “Therapy”, from 2003 to 2005 studied in full-time postgraduate study at the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of KSMU. In 2004 she defended her thesis paper for the degree of candidate of medical sciences “Disorders of Cardiohemodynamics and Autonomic Regulation of Cardiac Activity and Their Correction in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease on the Background of Type 2 Diabetes” (specialty 14.01.05 – Cardiology). Since 2005 she worked as an assistant, since 2015 – as an associate professor, since 2020 – professor of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1. From 2012 to 2015 she studied in doctoral studies at the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1, in 2014-2015 – under the program for the youth personnel reserve of KSMU in the “Future Professors” program track.

Doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Approaches to the Correction of the Activity of Immune Inflammation and Remodeling of the Cardiovascular Bed in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis with Genetically Engineered Biological Drugs” was defended in 2015 (specialty 03/14/09 – Clinical Immunology, Allergology), “Internal Medicine” specialty. She has a qualification as a “High School Teacher” as well.

Since 2019 she has been the Vice-Rector for Medical Work and Continuing Education of Kursk State Medical University.

Has certificates in the specialties – “Therapy”, “Cardiology” and “Rheumatology”, is a member of the Russian Society of Cardiology and the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Physicians. Awarded with a Certificate of Honor of the Kursk Region Health Committee (2018).

Author and co-author of more than 250 publications, including 53 scientific works in journals of the Higher Attestation Commission list, including those included in the international citation databases Scopus and Web of Science, 4 textbooks and 18 textbooks for students, clinical interns, residents and practitioners, 10 monographs , 3 invention patents.

Kuznetsova Alesya Anatolyevna

She was born on July 25, 1980 in a family of teachers. In 1997 she graduated from school with a gold medal, then, received a diploma with honors after graduation from the Faculty of Clinical Psychology of Kursk State Medical University with a degree in Clinical Psychology in 2004, after that, in 2016, finished the Master’s Degree course in Pedagogical Psychology at South-west State University. In 2017 she passed professional retraining “Human Resources Management” and in 2018 – advanced training under the “Personnel Reserve” program.

From 2004 till 2013 she worked as a teacher at the Department of Pedagogics and Psychology of Kursk State Technical University (South-west State University). Since 2013 she has been an Assistant at the Department of Health Psychology and Correctional Psychology of KSMU, Resource Specialist of the Dean’s Office of the Advanced Training Faculty at KSMU, since 2014 – Senior Lecturer, since 2017 – Associate Professor. Since 2018 – Acting Dean of the Advanced Training Faculty of KSMU, since 2019 – Dean of the Advanced Training Faculty of KSMU.

In 2016 she defended her Candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Reflexive-semantic Regulation of the State of Burnout Among Teachers in Higher Education”. She is working on her doctoral dissertation. Currently, Candidate’s dissertations are being carried out under her supervision.

Research interests: Psychology and Pedagogics, Psychology of Deviant Behavior, Pedagogical Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Continuing Education, educational work with students, development of the creative potential of youth, socio-psychological patterns of leadership development.

She has more than 150 educational and methodological and scientific works, including 14 educational and teaching aids, 3 monographs, 47 articles in peer-reviewed journals of the Higher Attestation Commission, 10 articles in the SCOPUS database.

In 2020 she was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
