KSMU LIBRARY BECAME THE CENTRAL REGIONAL SITE OF THE “VICTORY DICTATION”

Our university together with the whole country took part in this project for the sixth time. The International Historical Dictation on the theme of the events of the Great Patriotic War is an All-Russian action timed to celebrate Victory Day. It was held for the first time on May 7, 2019. The dictation is not only devoted to testing the level of knowledge of the military history of Russia. Its main goal is to unite the citizens of our country.

About 15 thousand our citizens take part in the action. In our region, more than 400 sites are registered, 4 of them – in KSMU. The new reading room of KSMU library became the central platform not only of the university, but also of the whole region. Today the action was opened here by its curator, Deputy Chairman of Kursk City Assembly Alla Chertova, and Vladimir Putin’s authorized representative at the election of the President of the Russian Federation in 2024, director of GTRK “Kursk” Mikhail Lukash.

“Victory Dictant” is our answer to those who try to distort our history, – said Mikhail Alexandrovich. – The action is designed to unite all those to whom it is dear. So that our country would live and continue to be strong”.

Speaking about the significance of the action, Alesya Anatolievna Kuznetsova, pro-rector on educational work, social development and public relations of KSMU, informed that 60 countries and more than 2 million people take part in the project, about 500 of which are students of KSMU and International Medical Institute of KSMU.
